I believe in my community and I am committed to making it a better place to live for everyone.
I’m very proud and grateful to have been a member of Sonoma Valley Rotary since 1999. It is a wonderful group of people to be associated with and the work that we do in the community has added greatly to the quality of life in Sonoma. I am also proud to have served as club President in 2008-09 in addition to serving in various leadership roles.
I was on the board of directors from 2003 to 2009 serving as the board liaison for the Springs. That experience opened my eyes to the critical leadership role that the business community plays in our daily life.
My role on the chamber of commerce led me to get more involved in the Springs community and facing the challenges that this unincorporated part of the valley. I subsequently served on the Springs Redevelopment Advisory Committee which served as the local voice which influenced how redevelopment dollars were being spent. During that time I was also attending Springs Task Force Coordinating Committee (STFCC or “Stiff Kick”) That group evolved into the current version know as the Springs Community Alliance of which I have served as Chair for the past 4 years.
In 2007 Bob Edwards and my wife Rhonda Stallings co-founded Sonoma Valley Dog Owners & Guardians (SVDOG). The idea behind this organization is to increase access for dogs, especially off leash - and to make Sonoma more dog friendly. I have served as President since 2013.
This is the largest and most successful networking organization in the world. I joined the Sonoma chapter in 2013 and have it to be a great resource for not only business but long lasting relationships as well. I have served in several leadership roles in BNI including chapter President in 2005-16.
